Danny Schecter, part of Media Channel who writes a daily amazing web log, has given CMA and the We The Media celebration we're helping to organize a mention in today's blog:

THE MEDIA CHALLENGE

Media activists in Chicago write: "Reading about the Media Challenge reminded me to inform you about a project that I'm helping to organize. From http://chicago.indymedia.org:

"Local Independent Media Groups Organize Fourth of July Celebration called "We The Media." Chicago Indymedia, Chicago Media Action, and Redline Radio are sponsoring and organizing "We the Media," a Fourth of July celebration for makers and supporters of independent media. The event takes place from 4pm to midnight on Friday, July 4th, at Buddy, 1542 N. Milwaukee St. in Chicago's Wicker Park. (Buddy is near the Damen stop on the CTA Blue Line.) The three groups have also created a "Chicago Independent Media Guide"--promoting independent radio, television, print, and other media with a strong emphasis on local outlets--which will be distributed at the event.
