Action Alert regarding Public Access television...

Posted by Mitchell - September 6, 2005 (entry 355)

Our friends at CAN TV have set up a helpful call to action webpage as to three especially dismal pieces of cable-TV-related legislation before Congress. Do take a moment, if you would, to visit the webpage and follow the listed directions and voice your opposition to the three listed bills.

This is especially crucial since much of the attention for the moment is understandably devoted to the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. It can get easier for dreadful laws like this legislative Legion of Doom to get passed.

Speaking of Katrina, you may also want to check out what organizers in Lafayette, Louisana are doing to establish telecommunications infrastructure for hurricane victims. And check out what's going on at the Houston Astrodome.
